Dyslexia Camp
Jun 5 - Aug 4, 2023

Every camper is special, and each one learns differently. That means our diverse and highly trained staff work one on one with campers on a skill-enhancing program that is personal and individualized, sometimes even going outside the box/classroom to help youth ages 6 - 17 strengthen and grow in their reading and language skills. We use an Orton-Gillingham language-based teaching approach, which is the most effective and beneficial method for teaching dyslexic children.

We start by giving every camper standardized diagnostic tests before and after camp to help guide where we should begin the tutoring program and to support the parents with a report of the child’s academic progress when camp is over so that every child is able to continue the progress made at Dyslexia Camp. Enhanced testing is available for an additional fee. Pre-testing must be completed two weeks before the start of your child’s camp, and post-testing must be completed within three weeks after your child’s camp.

Each day is filled with a variety of fun and exciting outdoor activities that are designed to help campers with their creativity, self-esteem, and confidence, and to encourage positive attitudes. There are also weekend camping field trips to some of the unique and highly-regarded destination attractions, right in our own backyard.

Financial Commitment

A $250 non-refundable deposit is due at registration. An additional $750 payment is due by January 31, 2023. The remaining balance is due two weeks before the start of your child’s camp.

Please note that your child’s acceptance to camp requires reading and accepting Camper Handbook, filling out the Waiver of Liability, and providing us with the necessary academic paperwork. If a child is deemed not eligible to attend camp after reviewing the academic paperwork, your $250 deposit will be returned.
